Our goal isn’t ‘sustainability’: it’s efficacy, meaningfulness, purpose, and changing the landscape in which artists work (and by extension, everybody else). This is a generational project - one we believe will in time re-shape our economies to be more equitable, more viable, and more humane. At the moment, the reality is that it isn’t particularly profitable.
We want to explore alternative economies, and stay away from conventional transactional culture - but to do so we have to climb out of the morass of costs and expenses to begin modeling how art-as-research can create value in ways we haven’t even imagined yet.
